What's New at Quaker Hill
Welcome to The Conference Center at Quaker Hill. We would be pleased to host your event. We have a beautiful campus, a historic home, comfortable rooms and great food! Groups of up to 50 can enjoy overnight accommodations at our two conference houses; the historic Evans House and Woodard Lodge. Our dining room can accommodate 60 guests. We also have day use facilities available for meetings of 10–60 guests.
Quaker Hill hosts retreats, conferences, family reunions, Quaker meetings, Church groups, educational institutions, community groups and more. We are happy to accommodate groups, families or individuals for overnight stays or day use.
I am pleased to share that Quaker Hill Conference Center has been given another opportunity to receive matching gifts. Because of a generous gift from Lilly Endowment, Inc. the Wayne County Foundation is able to match up to $1 million in gifts made to any new or existing endowed fund at the Foundation through March 2016. Quaker Hill established an agency fund with Wayne County Foundation that is now an eligible fund. This Quaker Hill Conference Center agency fund currently totals approximately $8,000 and this is now an endowed fund where we may receive annual distributions of 5% to Quaker Hill for use with programming or renovations at Evans House. As we are able to build this fund this will become a valuable and predicable income for us in perpetuity. For every dollar given it will be matched by fifty cents from the Lilly Endowment. To participate please write a check to Wayne County Foundation – QHCC Fund and your gift will receive a 50% match. This gift is fully tax deductible as allowed by law.
If you have begun making final plans for your estate please remember Quaker Hill in your will. We have benefited from various bequests; several being just a portion of one’s estate and these gifts have proven critical to us carrying out our mission. These gifts may also be given to Wayne County Foundation on our behalf.
Please give to this fund and it will be a blessing to us now and for years to come.
